So, I inserted a credit card and hoped the attendant inside wouldn't notice the person who just walked up off the street and started filling a milk jug with gasoline.
We then walked back to the car and decided that the mouth of the milk jug wouldn't fit into the gas fill tube. bottles of water and cut the bottom out with a pocket knife, creating a funnel for the gasoline.
At present, 60% of our new customers are outside of the UK, proving our review and further investment in the Ogone Collect solution a crucial move.
Anyways, the bathroom pictures just don't do the place justice. I had to have an associate with a car drive me back and we filled it surreptitiously while gassing up his car.
I have seen some nasty gas station restrooms but this one topped them all. If they absolutely won't sell you gas you can use those ignition/carb cleaners too.
Anyways, this was quite the experience and will be one I never forget. Gas cans are made of High Density Polyethlyene or HDPE for short, which is the same material milk jugs are made from. I used one of those to get to a gas station when I'd run out a few blocks away. They only had 5 gal gas cans, and they were more expensive then those little bottles of cleaner/fuel mix, so I bought one of them and poured it in, and it got me to the station.
This truck once went almost 100 mi with the low fuel light on on a lonely stretch of highway in Utah.
The truck is rated to drive about 380 miles on a tank of gas but I am pretty sure I could get 420 under the right conditions. The truck was running real rough, had stinky exhaust, and had no power whatsoever.
Having such a reliable system in place helps us with our ambition to become the UK’s premier e-retailer in our sector.
